"XXL Freshman 2011 Mixtape" (Mixtape)

Word on the street is the XXL 2011 Freshman show that went down in New York last night was one for the books. If you missed it, no need to worry, DJ Whoo Kid and XXL have put together a little compilation of new music from all of the 2011 freshman. Wiz Khalifa Covers Complex

It looks like Wiz Khalifa is taking Nate Dogg’s statement of “smoke weed everyday” to heart along with Danny McBride. The two cover the upcoming issue of Complex Magazine and it looks like they smoked so much they just about lit themselves on fire. How fitting. At this point, I can’t keep track of how many covers Wiz has been on in the last couple of months but one thing is for sure, he’s getting much deserved shine. The visuals to “6’7′” have finally arrived and I’m a little confused. It was directed by Hype Williams, but after watching it, it seems to me that it could have been put together by some random cinematographer. Far from the quality I’ve come to expect from Hype.
